miqpo is a shared mobility network that connects people inside trust communities. We make safe, sustainable shared trips easy. We are not a commercial transport service: we're a community that shares costs to reduce its carbon footprint.

Commercial transport apps are services where professional drivers make a profit. miqpo is real carpooling: private drivers share trips they were already going to make (for example, going to work or to study) and only recover costs (fuel and tolls). There's no profit, there's collaboration.

For now we operate in Colombia. Since matching works by route corridors, miqpo works in your area as soon as there are drivers and passengers sharing your same route.

miqpo runs on a cost-sharing model between private individuals (carpooling), not commercial transport: the driver shares a trip they were already going to make and passengers chip in for costs (fuel and tolls), with no profit. The legal classification of carpooling in Colombia is under review with legal counsel; this answer is informational and does not constitute legal advice.

1) Create an account with your email. 2) Complete your profile (name, photo, bio). 3) Verify your phone with a one-time code. 4) Done! You can now search for trips and book. To publish, drivers validate their license and SOAT.

Trust on miqpo is progressive, by levels: you register (email), verify your phone, connect your communities and, if you want, validate your identity. Each level unlocks more access and shows on your profile. You don't need an institutional email to start.

No. You can use miqpo for public trips with just your verified account. Communities are optional: they give you access to closed trips from trust groups, like your university, your company or your organization.

Yes. You can join several trust communities (for example, your university and your company). You'll see trips from all of them.

Less than 2 minutes. The verification code arrives instantly by email or SMS. You just copy it and paste it into miqpo. If you don't get it within 5 minutes, check your spam or ask us to resend it.

Go to 'Search trips' and enter origin, destination and date. miqpo shows you the available trips published by verified drivers from your community. Filter by price, time, driver rating and more.

Booking is free. You only pay the driver their share of the costs (fuel and tolls). For example: if the trip costs $200,000 total and 4 people go, you pay $50,000 to the driver (in cash or by transfer).

Payment happens off the platform. You can pay in cash at the start of the trip or make a bank transfer beforehand. miqpo doesn't process payments between users so it stays a collaborative economy.

Yes, but with at least 3 hours' notice. Last-minute cancellations affect your rating. If you rack up several cancellations without a reason, your account may be temporarily suspended.

You'll get a notification right away. You can look for alternative trips on the same route. If the cancellation was unjustified, you can report the driver (it will affect their rating).

It's not required, but it's strongly recommended. Ratings help keep the community's quality up. If you don't rate, it doesn't count against you, but you do contribute to transparency.

Go to 'Publish a trip' and fill in: origin, destination, date, departure time, available seats and price per passenger. Add optional details (meeting point, trip rules) and tap 'Publish'. You'll get notifications when someone books.

Only real costs: (fuel + tolls) ÷ total people (including you). Example: a 400 km trip that uses $150,000 in fuel + $50,000 in tolls = $200,000 ÷ 4 people = $50,000 per passenger. You can't add a profit margin.

Yes, but only with a valid reason (for example, a very low rating or suspicious behavior in the chat). Unjustified rejections affect your rating. Try to accept only passengers you trust.

Wait 10 minutes at most and try to reach them by chat or phone. If they don't respond, you can leave without them and report the 'no-show'. That will affect their rating. You're not required to refund.

It must have valid SOAT insurance, an up-to-date technical-mechanical inspection (where it applies in your country) and be in safe operating condition. miqpo doesn't inspect vehicles physically, but users can report problems.

No. miqpo is for occasional trips you already planned to make (for example, going to your hometown on the weekend or attending an event). If you publish daily trips for the sole purpose of making money, you're violating our Terms and your account will be suspended.

On miqpo you don't travel with strangers. People verify by levels and you can travel within your trust communities (your university, your company or your group). Plus, you check profiles, ratings and comments before booking.

1) If the risk is immediate (dangerous driving, harassment), ask them to stop and get out of the vehicle. 2) If the problem is minor (loud music, an awkward conversation), tell the driver respectfully. 3) After the trip, report the user from their profile. Our team reviews every report.

It's optional. You can coordinate everything through miqpo's internal chat without sharing your number. If you prefer to call, you can share it manually in the chat (it isn't shown automatically).

SOAT insurance is mandatory in Colombia and covers bodily injury up to its legal limits. Coverage under your auto policy for shared trips may vary; we recommend confirming it with your insurer. miqpo is not responsible for accidents (see the Terms and Conditions).

Go to their profile, tap 'Report user', choose the reason (inappropriate behavior, unjustified cancellation, dangerous driving, etc.) and add details. Our moderation team reviews it and takes action.

For now we run as a PWA (Progressive Web App): it works in your mobile browser like a native app. You can 'Add to home screen' from your browser. Native apps for iOS and Android will be available in 2026.

Chat and notifications need internet. However, you can view the details of your active trip offline (with the data loaded beforehand). We recommend having mobile data or coordinating the meeting point before you lose connection.

The first time you open miqpo, your browser will ask for permission to send notifications. Tap 'Allow'. If you blocked it by mistake, go to Settings > Notifications > miqpo.com > Enable.

Yes. Go to Settings > Privacy > Delete account. The process is irreversible and takes 30 days (a grace period in case you change your mind). Your personal data will be deleted according to our Privacy Policy.
